Cyber
Range
A cyber practice field makes it easy to deploy and duplicate virtual networks and computer workstations and manage access to them securely. Available via web access, it is an educational tool of choice for developing and testing IT and cybersecurity skills.
What is a “Cyber Range”
used for?
By isolating systems in a cyber practice field, it becomes possible to simulate catastrophic events, such as the spread of computer viruses or the execution of cyberattacks.
Who uses our
“Cyber Range”?
CyberQuébec’s Cyber Range is the primary tool used by the CCTT research team.
It is also part of a shared initiative with Quebec’s general and vocational colleges (Cégeps).
In 2024, it enabled approximately 52 teachers from 13 post-secondary institutions in Quebec to deploy around 3,900 virtual computers, providing training to more than 520 students.
